David is the co-founder and Publisher of BoomerCafé. Together with his business partner and old friend, Greg Dobbs, they defined the vision for the site in 1998 as a unique place for news and information-sharing among baby boomers with active lifestyles and youthful spirits. BoomerCafé went online in the summer of 1999.
In his “day job,” David is advisor and counselor to CEOs and executives on enhancing organizational brand and reputation in today’s fiercely competitive digital world. He is an experienced communications strategist with rare credentials — Emmy Award winning former CBS Network News correspondent, bureau chief in Asia, and investigative reporter; expert global counselor to organizations and corporations on issues and reputation management and crisis response; leader in the use of online technology for influential communications purposes for nearly two decades.
He is a thrice published author of books that track evolving trends in today’s media and communications techniques. The most recent is Making News in the Digital Era.
David is a native of the Washington, DC, area. In spare time, David travels with his wife; is an avid photographer; writer; and, enjoys opera, choral, and baroque music. He is a licensed pilot.
