Okay,
there are plenty of conflicting theories out there about what
we should do to keep our good health. They
deal with diet, exercise, medicine and so forth. We don't
embrace one single theory, but are attracted to a few articles
that we think contribute to staying healthy.
We are the generation that invented the 25-hour day -- or we tried to, anyway: the day without enough time to do everything on our agendas. Rachel Matesz, co-author of The Garden of Eating: A Produce-Dominated Diet & Cookbook (Planetary Press, 2004), thinks there’s a way to find that extra time though: by turning your refrigerator into a Healthy Salad Bar & Deli.
It’s okay to feel older than you did a decade ago -- in fact, it’s almost inevitable--- but you don’t have to feel old. Barbara Morris, an expert on aging and author of Put Old on Hold, says if you take certain steps, you can Rock ‘n Roll for an Extra 25 Years.
We’re the first generation to grow up with the ugly word “cholesterol” in our vocabulary. But it doesn’t have to be ugly, as long as we understand the difference between fact and hype. While BoomerCafé makes no endorsement of health-related information conveyed by our authors, Los Angeles health expert Heidi Becker tries to sort out cholestoral questions, so you can "Test Your Cholesterol Knowledge.”
Live long enough and your hair will be long, short, and everything inbetween. Laurey Boyd tries everything, as she writes in this latest description of a Certain Savoir Hair.
