You know there was some awesome music back then. (Not all of it was, but what we remember is the stuff that was worth remembering.) My kids prefer the music of the 60's to a lot of the current stuff. The current stuff is not all bad, and the chaff of this generation will blow away and be forgotten just like it did for the boomers. I gotta say, though, I love Ipods!

"Rich relations may give you
Crust of bread and such;
You can help yourself
But don't take too much.
Mama may have
And Papa may have
But God bless the child
who can stand up and say,
'I got my own.'"

Sadly, the years have taken from us some dear friends. Those of us who have survived society's knocks and the values system's denials can share some quiet relief and satisfaction knowing that we're OK despite.
Stay mellow. Ciao.

The music of the 60s and 70s reflected our lives and was musically excellent, stoned or sober. I listen to it now, and so do my kids - now grown - and so do my grandkids. Hey - we made good music. We made good changes in our world. We woke some people up to new points-of-view. And we do consider ourselves young. We're a driving energy in the world, still. Boom shahkalahka boom boom.
