Baby Boomers are Today’s Entrepreneurs

If you’re thinking that the majority of entrepreneurs are young go-getters you’d be thinking wrong.
In fact, according to the Kauffman Foundation, the the highest rate of entrepreneurial activity belongs Baby Booomer go-getters, 55 to 64.
“The fact that the largest age group of our population is also the most entrepreneurial bodes well for the United States’ economic future,” said Robert E. Litan, vice president of Research and Policy at the Kauffman Foundation.

Very true. In our work with baby boomers we find they love the challenge and for the most part have stricken the word “retirement” from their plans.. they have too much they want to do!
Today they have the added incentive of seeing their retirement plans collapse with little prospect for full recovery by many estimates.
The great news is that they are taking charge (as entrepreneurs) and getting down to profitable activity like never before.
