The rise in toxic chemicals in the environment in the last 50 years, know as hormone or endocrine disruptors (DDT, PCB’s, Dioxin, to name only a few, which cause cancers to grow), the change in eating whole foods to junk and chemicalized foods (decreasing our immune response),ionizing radiation and our fast paced lifestyles are part of the bigger picture.

Isn’t it nice to know what you did wrong forty or fifty years ago, so that you won’t do it again? So what now? Sure, you need to understand the cause before you can find a cure, but this is only one of many factors as referenced above. There are also so many other variables, not the least of which is the way that multiple studies find contradictory results.
