Baby Boomers Losing Interest in Campgrounds
For decades, many Americans – including lots of baby boomers – have driven north, across the border to Canada for vacations at remote campgrounds and lodges, perhaps deep in a forest. But the trend today is on the decline as boomers seek other directions, usually with more creature comforts.
The traditional no-frills campground is becoming a thing of the past as boomers, hooked on fractional ownership, buy in to multiple resorts to create a ‘lifestyle portfolio,’ Sheryl Steinberg writes in Toronto’s Globe and Mail.
