Retirement May Not Be Ahead for Baby Boomers

Amy Hillenburg writes, “The news isn’t good for us boomers, though. Our investment track record isn’t too hot. We’re not good at saving money, and our 401k’s have taken major hits from the stock market.
“We change homes like we change cars, about every four or five years. When we do get ahead financially, we look around and find ways to divest ourselves of the extra. We take an expensive vacation, pay for our children’s weddings, give to various charities or buy a new car, boat or time-share condominium.”
